Ramna Park which is called the pure oxygen house of Dhaka is a large park and recreational area situated at the heart of Dhaka, surrounded by the most important places of Dhaka.This forested park with a pond near its center is one of the most beautiful areas in Dhaka. Ramna Park now protects an area of 68.50 acres (277,200 Square meter.), of which the lake covers 8.76 acres (35,500 Square meter).
The fast development of urbanization in Dhaka frequently makes gigantic weight on its current green and open spaces. Ramna Park is an urban recreational place. It is a huge habitation for flora and fauna species, especially avifauna. Various beneficiary ecosystem services are derived from the Ramna Park area. Five specific types of provisioning services are identified in Ramna Park. The identified provisioning services are, eight different types of fish in the lake, Thirty-two different types of fruits plant, Twenty-eight different types of medicinal plants, and Fifty-eight different types of ornamental flower plant species. It was noted in the study that Ramna Park is a huge habitat for plants, avifauna, fish, and some other faunal species. Moreover, it provides a huge range of habitat for eight fish species, forty-two bird species, and one hundred and fifty-one plant species. A total of one hundred fifty-one specific types of plant species were identified in Ramna Park. The identified plant species are categorized into four plant types’ trees - 100 species, Herbs - 15 species, Shrubs - 24 species, and Climbers - 12 species. These species are worth seeing and of course, capturing forever memories.
Together with recreational and leisure, this place is very educative and is itself a complete ecosystem sustaining a healthy environment.

Huge numbers of small benches are available throughout the park. A large playing zone is allocated for children with various sports equipment including slippers, cradles etc.
