Gaibandha Municipal Park is a well known open place. It is a social recreation center under the control of Gaibandha Municipality which started its journey as Gaibandha Pouro Park, in 1927. Zamindar Gobind Lal Roy donated 1 acre of land in 7th century, considering the entertainment of the people living in town of Gaibandha. The park is centered around a pond, has a variety of flowers, fruits and wild trees. there is a water fountain in the middle of the pond.
This is where fairs are held involving different town entrepreneurs. One can spend a leisurely afternoon sitting on the banks of this calm and beautiful pond, can also do fishing here, or enjoy a ride in boat. The number of visitors is increasing gradually. Open air and pure natural environment with pond ghats, colorful fish, rows of benches, canteens, galleries and various animal portraits draw attention of the people of all ages of Gaibandha.

AC/Non-AC bus services are available from various parts of the capital Dhaka to reach Gaibandha district. Such as Shyamoli Paribahan, Al Hamra Paribahan, SR Travels Pvt Ltd and Orin Travels. Bus fare varies according to the service.
Besides, two trains The Rangpur Express and Lalmonirhat Express depart from Airport Railway station as well as Kamalapur railway station in Dhaka morning and night.
Gaibandha Town Park can be easily reached by rickshaws, autorickshaws from Gaibandha district bus stand or railway station.
For night stay,there are various hotels like: Gaibandha Circuit House, SKS Inn Hotel and Mass Development Centre. The rent varies according to the facilities provided by hotels.
