Dreamland Educational Park

Dreamland Educational Park has been constructed by private initiative in Harinmari village, Palashbari upazila of Gaibandha district. Rashidunnabi Chand, a well-known marchandiser, developed this amusement in 1995 on 17 acres of land in Gaibandha district town. Dreamland Educational Park is full of natural beauty, with native and exotic trees, flower gardens, sculptures, and various installations.

As you enter Dreamland Park through the main gate, you will come across a variety of local and foreign floral trees gracing both sides of the narrow road. There are adequate number of benches and sheds, that have been constructed at certain distances for the visitors to sit and rest. The park has a beautiful pond surrounding with greenery in the middle. There are also sculptures of 255 world-renowned scientists and geniuses between the trees. Apart from this, there is a substantial map of Bangladesh, an illustration of the Palashi battleground, sculptures of animals, and various sports facilities. Thus, many excursions are made here in order to introduce the students to some important historical events .

To enter Dreamland Educational Park, a ticket is required.

How to go

Several AC/Non-AC buses are plying to Gaibandha district from different parts of capital Dhaka such as Gabtoli, Kallyanpur, Syedabad etc. Notable among them are Shyamoli Paribahan, Al Hamra Paribahan, SR Travels and Orin Travels. Bus fare per person varies, depending on the type of bus.

Besides, two trains named Rangpur Express and Lalmonirhat Express depart from Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Station as well as Airport Railway Staion. One can also take train which will take 10 hours at least to reach Gaibandha Railway Station.

The distance from Gaibandha district town to Palashbari upazila is about 20 km. One easily reach Palashbari by bus or CNG from Gaibandha. Otherwise, if they take the bus to Gaibandha, they will pass through Palashbari before reaching Gaibandha.

Food

There are a few restaurants and fast food outlets in the park. You can enjoy your desired food here. Besides, you will find some other quality food hotels in Palashbari.

Where will you stay

There is no accommodation system available at Dreamland Educational Park. Palashbari offers an average residential hotel called 'Shilpi' where you can stay for the night. And for staying in Gaibandha, there are Gaibandha Circuit House, SKS Inn Hotel and Mass Development Centre.
