
Naodanga Zamindar House, Fulbari
“Naodanga Zamindar Bari" is a historical estate located in Kurigram district, Bangladesh. This zamindar house was built almost one and a half hundred year ago. It is located around 8 km away from Fulbari upazila of Kurigram district. The then zamindar Bahadur Pramdaranjan Bakshi of Naodanga Pargana built his residence here before the establishment of this country. The successor of the later zamindari was Bireshwar Prasad Bakshi, who established a minor school and primary school in the Naodanga zamindar house. These are named as Naodanga Primary School and Naodanga School and College.
Bireshwar Prasad Bakshi initiated the “Dol Mela” which is a ritual of Hindus that is held on every Dolpurnima on the auspicious birthday of Lord Krishna which is still going on today. He used to lavishly celebrate this ritual in front of Naodanga Zamindar's residence. Dol riders from various places used to take part in this fair parade with their thrones ornamented at the time. The Dolayatra field was bustling with activity.

A good number of buses leave directly for Kurigram from Shyamoli or Kallyanpur in the capital Dhaka. Coming from Kurigram to Fulbari Upazila Sadar, you can easily visit Naodanga Zamindar's house, which is 8 km away from there.
There are several hotels of varying quality near Ghoshpara and Central Bus Terminal in Kurigram.
